uniform policy
The RCUA adheres to the New York State Baseball Umpires Association (NYSBUA) uniform policy with the following exceptions listed below.

Point of Emphasis to NYSBUA Uniform Policy:
All Baseball:
- Charcoal Pants ONLY. No combo or plate pants in the field.
- No Hat Required for Plate Umpire using either Hockey Style Mask or Skull Cap Helmet (Must be worn with helmet bill facing forward.)
- Both Partners MUST Match Color
Optional Shirt: The scarlet (red), or Cream shirt is NOT approved.
Pull-Over Jacket: Smitty full sleeve, half sleeve, or Thermal jackets are the approved jackets for the RCUA. Black or Navy Blue Only. Jacket not allowed if one umpire is wearing a shirt other than Black or Navy Blue.
