Dariel Vasquez, a 2024 Ramapo HS Varsity Baseball player and a parks and recreation aide with the New York State Parks Department, was just 18 years old when he died while battling a wildfire in Greenwood Lake on November 9th, 2024.  The RCUA umpires created this award to honor Dariel with a baseball and softball player who exhibits the definition of good sportsmanship and being a great teammate.
